Seeking the Nomination to be your Conservative Candidate

Tracy-lynn Foran (born April 12, 1977) is a proud Canadian born of Irish and French-Canadian/Métis parents. Tracy is a born and raised Canadian who was raised eating poutine, home-made tourtière, frog legs, wild venison and crispy catfish in beer batter, with her family who were avid hunters and fishers, just like her ancestors. Tracy’s favourite place has, and will always be, on the water.

Tracy is horrified to see what has happened to her country and believes Canada has been heading in the wrong direction. She is seeking your support to become the Conservative Candidate for the riding of Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke so that she can help get Canada back on course.

Tracy Foran - Nomination Conservative Candidate for Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke

Canada used to be an example of what a peaceful nation could look like and what it could achieve, but now, we are the laughing stock of the world. Our current Federal Government is ignorant of the basic rules of negotiation while at the same time implementing wide-sweeping and overly simplistic policies, which are forcing Canadians into poverty. They are corrupt and stealing from tax-payer pockets. They are failing to properly handle international relations and are ignorant of local history, Canadian history, world history and world politics. We are rapidly loosing everything it means to be Canadian and we can not afford to be making the mistakes we are making right now. It is not easy for Tracy to step forward, but if she needs to be the one to go to Ottawa and fix it, this is what she is prepared to do.

Tracy is deeply tied to the communities of Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke, having owned a floathome in Westbay Marina for almost 10 years, fervently surfed the waves of Jordan River, Sombrio and Port Renfrew, repaired boats for the Pacheena Bay Natives, salvaged logs off Victoria Beaches, served in the local Canadian Coast Guard and lived in Sooke where she argued with bears and watched a cougar snatch a baby deer in broad daylight. Tracy has also been blessed with the stories of many locals, including old loggers from towns which don’t even exist anymore.

But Tracy brings an international perspective as well, as her path led her outside of Canada, right around the time of the Fukushima earthquake. She ended up sailing onboard the Rainbow Warrior II with Green Peace, joining the ship in Taiwan on its way to Japan to test for radioactivity. However, much like Patrick Moore, Tracy came became disillusioned with Green Peace realizing this organization was more about drinking parties than affecting real change.

After leaving Green Peace, Tracy was recruited to manage a Volvo Penta dealership in Thailand, which primarily served yachts in the $2-$3M range all owned by international high-net-worth individuals from all over the world. This is where Tracy became interested in Politics, because every single customer turned into a negotiation on how much our dealership was going to pay to fix their boat. It was here that Tracy realized some negotiations were more about the people involved than the issues at hand and she was fascinated by the approach required to win some of these negotiations.

Tracy then relocated to San Francisco to sell yachts and was quickly recruited into the software industry by some Silicon Valley Tech Executives, where she learned on the job how to be a professional business analyst, solving problems for big tech companies which many of you know. Tracy has spent 10 years refining her business skills internationally and is ready to apply what she has learned to fix Canada’s biggest problems.

Tracy is choosing to enter politics because she cares about Canada, she cares about her community. Tracy believes her world travels and worldy business training give her a unique international perspective which can only be used to the benefit the constituents of Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke. Tracy wants to hear from the Constituents of Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke, so if you have an issue that she can help address at a Federal Level, then she wants to hear from you!
